Education

A quality education is not about getting a better job with more pay. That is a benefit no doubt, but a quality education is a moral obligation that an adult has for his or her children.

Charter schools should be an alternative for families. Empowering students and parents with educational options will get them involved in our schools. I will work to limit class size and maximize the use of limited education funds by maintaining local control.

Every generation wants the next to experience a better way of life. Education is the key to making that happen. With the economic downturn we have experienced, providing our children with a top flight education will help Georgia and Hall and Jackson counties rebound more quickly and give our communities a firm foundation. As someone who has donated considerable amounts of time and money to various educational causes throughout the local area, I take properly educating our children very personally and will continue to do so as your representative in the State Senate.
